Hello!
I went to the Hanson concert in Boston, MA at Great Woods. This was the first Hanson concert that I have ever been to. They really haven't playedhere a lot before except for radio promotions and I probably have THEWORST luck in winning things from the radio! (For example: A radiostation was giving away 4 packs of tickets every hour for the wholeweekend last Christmas. Me and 3 of my friends tried to call in and winevery hour, [we got NO sleep the whole weekend] and none of us won. Youhad to be caller 12 and the closest I got was caller 5. All I got thatweekend was sick from getting no sleep. No Hanson tickets.) So when Ifound out that Hanson was going to be playing at Great Woods, and youcould actually BUY the tickets, not have to win them, I was psyched. Sowhen they went on sale at 11am on May 16, I was ready. But guess what?! Icouldn't get through and by the time I DID get through, it was SOLDOUT!!!! AHHHH How much does that suck? Anywayz I'll get to the point. Myfriend Nicole's uncle has well...*connections* shall we say and she foundout the Sunday before the concert (the concert was that Friday) that hehad gotten us tickets!!!!! WE were soooo excited. But we didn't know whatthey were yet cuz they hadn't come in the mail yet. When they did wefound out that they were center section 6th row!!!!!!! (section 2, row F,seats 4-7) Ahhhhhhhhhh Life is sweet. Well, enough of my babbling, I'llget to the concert!!!! **********************************************************Ok, here I go. I have to say that in all of my 14 years, Friday June26th, 1998 at Great Woods seeing Hanson was the BEST night of mylife...welll I'm only 14 so...not that much exciting stuff has happenedto me!!! *LoL* My friend Nicole came over at about 10:30AM. We decided that we wouldmake signs. I made one that said "Hanson Rocks Our World" with the 'O' inworld the actual world. And Nicole made one that said, "Hanson is WickedCool"-->notice that 'wicked' it's a MA thing to say, hehehe. It took usFOREVER to color it in, but it was okay b/c we listened to Middle ofNowhere while we colored, hehe.So we drove to my sisters work and we met at about 5PM. (My sister Alisonis 20, and her boyfriend Dustin who is 21 were taking us... Dustin likesHanson and he's 21, how weird is that?!) We left and got to Great Woodsat about 5:45, when we finally had parked. There were people linedallllllll around. It was a WICKED long line! My sister said that she hasbeen to Great Woods many times and never has she seen people waiting in aline this long to get in. People were screaming and I had NO clue whatthey were screaming at, but we screamed along. (Later I found out thatZac was sticking out his head over of the fence or whatever, oh well, Ididn't see.) People would just randomly start to scream, and soon thewhole line was screaming, it was soooo funny. There was the most annoyinggirl behind us in line. She wouldn't SHUT UP!!!!!!! Ugh. Hehe Watch hercome and read this, oh well! ;o) We finally got in at about like 6:15 or 6:30...and found our seats. Thesecurity was SOOOO tight. I mean every where you went they were checkingyour tickets. We found out seats and oh my God, we were SOOOOOOOO close,well, we WERE in the center section, 6th row!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*grin* We were kind over the right side, near Taylor's keyboards. We wereseriously 10 feet from the stage, prolly 13 feet from hiskeyboards..hehe. We were freaking out. Me and Nicole went and bought our15 buck programs, which are really cool btw. When we got back to ourseats, people were screaming at EVERYTHING, oh my gosh. People weretesting the spot light on the wall and everyone screamed. There werebeach balls being thrown around and I swear, people were like out to getme or something cuz I got hit in the head about 100 times!!! hehehe By this time, almost everyone was there. It was really weird cuz theirwas like this 30 ear old woman sitting behind us, and she came alone. Andduring the concert she was singing along and knew like every word. It wasreally cool though. So that'll prove to people that Hanson isn't just a'teenybopper' band.Before Admiral Twin came on, Mr. Hanson came out on the stage and waved!! He was like right near us! He was so nice to wave...hehe. AnywaysAdmiral Twin came on in their 3 piece suits, they were really cool!! Andthe drummer is Jarrod Gollihare...hmm does that name sound familiar!?! Hewrote Hanson's official biography!! (ya know, the big black one..) Theywere really really good though. While they were playing people keptkicking beach balls on the stage and they were kicking them off and stuff. It was funny because we could see Mr. Hanson on the side groovin'!He was like bouncing along, it was so funny.After Admiral Twin finished, everyone FREAKED out!! Cuz Hanson was onnext!!! But my sister said to me, "They aren't going to be on for another30-40 minutes." and she was right. They didn't start playing until like8:30. (Admiral Twin played from about 7:30 to 8) So advice to everyonegoing to the concerts in the future, when Admiral Twin finishes, Hansonisn't going to be coming on for a while! They have to set up the stageand all that. While we were waiting Mr. Hanson came on stage and video taped us!! So ifyou see 2 girls holding up signs saying 'Hanson rocks our world" and"Hanson is wicked cool" wearing a blue tank top and cargo pants (me) andwearing a gray tank top with khaki pants (Nicole) that's us!! So look forus when the video comes out k? heheOkay, people were going nuts. You have no idea!! There was someonevacuuming, and everyone screamed. It was crazy. But awesome!!! It was sofunny because they were playing the Wallflowers CD and during "OneHeadlight" like the whole place was singing along!!! It was like, yeah weare at a Hanson concert, but we are singing Wallflowers!! OKay, the moment you have all been waiting for...HANSON!!!!!!! They cameon at about 8:30. They started off with "Gimme Some Lovin'/Shake YourTail Feather" just like the 10 spot. It was awesome though because whenit started, they were behind this curtain, and when they started singing,they curtain thingy went up, and there was HANSON!!!!! Taylor was wearingthis white collared shirt with maroon pants, (I think they were eithercords, or like swayed (sp?)..hehe) Ike was wearing like a greenish shirtwith a design and leather pants, and Zac was wearing an army shirt andlike greenish pants I think. Oh my gosh, you will not believe how closewe were, we were right in front of Taylor, kinda to the right!!!!! Wecould see the rivers of sweat dripping down their faces!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHWe could see EVERYTHING SOOOOOO WELL!!!!!!Okay, I am going to give you a list of the songs they sang, as much ofthe order as me and Nicole could remember.1. Gimme Some Lovin'/Shake Your Tail Feather --->this was AWESOME!! Wewere all standing on our seats...well until the security made me andNicole get down. I was so mad cuz everyone else was still standing, butthen the guys came back and got them down too. We were in the 'bad row',the security had to come into it like every 2 seconds, hehe, it kinda wasannoying though. But Nicole and I were angles, hehehe NOT!!!2. Thinking of You-->they went right into it from Gimme Some Lovin', itwas great too!*okay, now they talked to us. Zac's like, "Helloooo Boston!" It's reallyfunny though, cuz Great Woods isn't even in Boston, it's in Mansfield(sp?), but who cares?! Taylor said something about, "Are you guys hot?"It was WICKED hot out. And they said who incredible an audience wewere..hehe =) It was hard to hear them over the screaming, plus I can'treally remember when they said what....*3. River-->It was really great of course. Before it they said somethingabout 3CG and all that...4. Where's the Love--> it was great, but it seemed kinda slow.. but thatwas okay!! By this time me and Nicole we dripping!! After all everysingle song we were dancing and clapping the WHOLE time!!!!*Taylor said, "wow you are an incredible audience! I guess UMass reallydoes ROCK!!" we were all going NUTS!!! For any of you that don't know,UMass is the University of Massachusetts, which is a college inMassachusetts*5. I think it was "Sometimes" next..it was sooo hard to remembereverything!! It was a really cool, they added a lot more drum stuff thanthe 3CG version.6. Weird...it was great*Then they changed sets into their "3 car garage". It had a back droplike a garage and Ike sat on a cushion chair with his guitar and Taylor was sitting to play his keyboard and Zac was just normal with his drums,but he played the shakers a lot, but he was sitting at his drum set. Ohyeah and Taylor had his white collared shirt unbuttoned and he hadanother white shirt under it* 7. Stories-->it was really good! (remember, we can't really remember theEXACT order, so don't yell at me if I have some confused!!)*then Taylor, who had a button down shirt over another shirt, took offhis button down shirt!! hehehe ;o) Then we could see Ike and Taylortalking I could see what they were saying they were like, "should we doit?" and stuff, and then they said "we are going top throw a curve ballat you, this is a song that we have been practicing the past couple ofdays" and Taylor says "it's called 'Money'"*8. Money-->it was really cool!!*then Isaac said"our next song is a story..blah blah"9. Soldier--> really cool! I liked the speeding up and slowing down ofit...10. With you in Your Dreams--> this was a heart breaker, but I didn'tcry. It was sooooooooo good and sooooooo sweet... *Then they said 'we'll be back' and Zac and Taylor left and Isaac wasleft at the keyboard. He said he was going to play a song off their firstindependent album* 11. More than Anything --> really really great. Isaac sounded awesome, itwas his time in the spot light, totally alone, Nicole was freaking outcuz she LOVES Isaac*they the set again, and were back to the normal set like in thebeginning* 12. Speechless--> very good...just like Live from the 10 Spot13. Some cover song I didn't know, and I can't remember the name of... Icouldn't really hear what they said...it was awesome though!14....I think it was I Will Come to You.,...it was great..Taylor pointedat me..well my way...hehehe... well twards my area!!!!! [He doesn't evenknow I'm alive!!] I can dream can't I??...hehehe It was AWESOME!!!*then they said this song (A Minute Without You) was dedicated to all thepeople on the lawn, I thought that was really nice of them to say that....*15. A Minutes Without You-->great!16. Okay I don't remember the name of the next song, but I didn't knowit...We aren't sure but we think this is the song that they switchedon... Taylor went to Zac and took over the drums...and started to playthe drums!!! It was soooo cool. Then Zac went over to MY side well alittle farther over, and gave his drum sticks, to some girl! And thenthey all switched back, it was soo cool to see Taylor playing the drumsHe's wicked good at them!!!17. MMMBop--> really good....18. Man from Milwaukee-->good! *okay, now they "left" the stage. but everyone was still screaming, I wassooo afraid that it was over. And then you could hear Zac say, "helllo?"and more screaming from us, and then he said, "can we come back?" morescreaming, and then he said "okay, 1...2..3...SCREAM!!!" and of course,we obeyed!!!!! then they came back out for the oncure (sp?) orwhatever...*19. Look At You--> okay this is the song that my sister CLAIMS thatTaylor "Wanted her" hehehee yeah right! She said that he was looking ather the whole time, she's like "yeah he knew I was an older woman and hewanted me!!' hehe I think she was just joking though... 20. Summer Time Blues --> this was prolly my FAVORITE songs that theysang, it's a wicked awesome oldie. Isaac went over and took over thekeyboards after a while and Taylor went up to the end of the stage andhad a sing and point the mic at the crowd and we had to go, "There ain'tno cure for the summer time blues" it was sooooo fun!! *then they said that had one more thing to sing before then had to go,and they got together in the center of the stage...* 21.Weird (a capella)--> beautiful as always....*then they were starting to go, and they went up to the edges of thestage and were reaching out to touch peoples hands!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH meand Nicole tried to go to the edge, but we were too late by the time wegot there. It was sooooooooo close!!!! MAN!!!! Oh well..next time!!!*Here are some things that I forgot, or I don't know at what time theyhappened:1. Oh yeah, you know how the beach balls were floating around? Welllll...;o) People were throwing them on stage and Hanson was kickingthem off. Zac kicked one and it hit my sister RIGHT in the face, and itbounced off this other girl...RIGHT TO ME AND NICOLE!!!!!!!!!!AHHHHHHHHHHH we have a beach ball that ZAC HANSON PICKED UP ANDKICKED!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH We are going to trade off who has itevery week...hehe2. After Zac gave the drum stick to the girl he had these wicked coolones that like lit up, or reflected and stuff!! He was waving themaround, they were sooo cool.3.They were of course taking their water bottles and spraying us andthrowing the bottles to the crowd!!! I didn't get a water bottle..=( Butthat's okay, hey at least we got a beach ball! It was so funny, one timeTaylor was spraying water on some people and I guess whoever it was hadwater too and threw water right on him back, and he got water all over him!! Poor Taylor.... Oh and Zac (this was after he gave the girl thedrum stick) he kept going back over to her area and sprayed water, andkept looking back at her/her area and smiling...awww it was so cute. Youwill not believe how much older Zac is!! He is by far the hottest 12 yearold I know!!!! 4. Oh yeah, Pictures!!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad that I didn't take pics!!3 people right in my row got KICKED out! And that was just in my row!! Soguys if you are going to a concert and are planning on sneaking in acamera and taking pictures, BE CAREFUL! I think it was cuz we were rightin front and there was tons of security. It sucks though cuz I wouldhave had AWESOME pics..=(6. I could see sooooo good cuz there was little kids in front of me werelike 5 year olds..heheOkay, well I guess that's enough. Geez this is pretty darn long huh?Sorry! :) And remember, when the tour video comes out this fall I amwearing a blue tank top next to a girl with a gray tank top is Nicole andin the beginning we were holding up signs that said "Hanson Rocks OurWorld" and "Hanson is Wicked Cool" So maybe we'll be in the video!! Thatwould rock!! Okay, well that's all for now. I hope that everyone can have a chance tosee Hanson live. It's NOTHING like just watching them on TV!! AHHHHHHHHit's soooo awesome. I still can't believe that it happened, it feels likea dream. But an awesome dream!!! But please don't be mad at me cuz i knowthat I have forgotten tons of things, and I have things outta order,sorry!!!!!
