What many people are unware of is that you don't have to put a needle in your arm in order to be addicted to narcotics. You can become addicted to the doctor's prescribed medication. Many people think that this can't happen to them but if they loose someone close to them, a member of the family or a friend, many people seek the doctor's help and perhaps they will get some pills so that they can sleep better and or something to drown their sorrows. Remember that, that is only a temporary solution and if you're not careful with it you can become addicted to these pills. This kind of addiction is very common among elderly ladies. They make take pills to "calm" their nerves.

In the 60s and the 70s it was very very common to prescribe valium as an antidepressive medicine. Later on it was revealed that this might not good solution when valium is very habit substance.

Traffic accidents that may occur under the influence of strong medication might be those caused by the ignorance of the driver. Most prescribed medications are marked with a symbol, a triangle, which says that you're not allowed to drive when you're taking these pills. To prevent accidents in these cases always remember to check the label and see what the bottle says.
