Flen/Årdala district

 
Flen - Sigridslunds school - Vibyholm castle - Rockelstad castle

The tour takes about 4 hours

We begin in Flen, where the history of the city is told. After a small city tour we continue to the old countryside of Årdala. We make a stop at the school of Sigridslund, one of the oldest elementary schools in Sweden. The history of the school is told and also the history of the tragical inauguration 1826. We go further to the castle Vibyholm, owned by the duke Karl, where also the ghost "White Lady" is haunted. We look at the castle from the outside and we will also discover the high waves or the calm mirror glass of the big lake Båven.

The next stop is the Café Johannisdal, situated in the middle of the province Södermanland. There are exhibitions and selling of art and handicraft products. After a cup of coffee we continue to the castle of Rockelstad. In the big riding school we can watch the horseowner Anders Eriksson in a great show with his beautiful horses. After the show we go for an interesting guided tour inside the old beautiful castle.
