EXCURSIONS

Ängsö Island, Swedens smallest national park is not far from Wettersö

Siaröfortet.Is a disused Old fortress and museum which alos has a cafe and restaurant

Stockholm city. Take the morning boat to the heart of the city. After a day spent sightseeing take the evening-boat back to Wettersö.

Archipelago City Waxholm Is is a lively and inspiring small town worth a visit for sightseeing or shopping. It is easily reached by public boat. Lunch with traditional Swedish herring at Waxholm hotel can be a lifetime memory.

Norrtälje, once you get to the mainland you take the bus 621 to Norrtälje where you can enjoy a wonderful summer-town with small wooden houses.

Activities

Enjoy a relaxing sauna in our unique sauna in the boathouse, then jump straight into the sea for a refreshing experience . After the sauna you can just sit on the jetty and admire the beautiful landscape.

Why not try our kayaks or take the opportunity to learn the technique.

You will experience scenery which can only be seen from a silent kayak on a mirror-like water surface. A tour around the island takes about one hour. If you are experienced you can make a trip to another nearby island.

Rowing boat is perfect for a peaceful , relaxing tour. Any conversation here is guaranteed full privacy. If you can handle a small outboard engine (4 hp), you can make longer excursions .

If you have nautical experience the motorboat (90 hp) might be an alternative. The motorboat will take you to shops, cafés and restaurants.

You can also bike around the Island on our Mountain-bikes.

Visit a genuine Steamship restaurant.Everey friday evening , during summer,S/S Blidösund passes Wettersö and you can go on board and have dinner in the classic

mahogany and brass dining salon while the ship moves through the archipelago. Two hours later you change to another boat that will take you back to Wettersö. Pre booking necessary. www.blidosundsbolaget.se

You can occasionally book a dinner together with your Swedish hosts.

A three dish menu will be served. Meat will be ecological from Swedish vild animals or archipelago lamb. If it is fish it will be caught in the water close to Wettersö.
