The trip

In June 1999 I joined a round-trip arranged by a Swedish travel agency called Vulkanresor

The trip lasted for seven days. I extended my stay with three more days, in order to visit Heimaey.

The weather varies a lot in the summer. Sun, rain, wind and....snow!

Day 1 Flight Stockholm - Reykjavik.

Day 2 Stay in Reykjavik. Roundtrip on my own.

Day 3 Bus trip Reykjavik - Akureyri.

Day 4 Bus trip Akureyri - Myvatn.

Visit at Godafoss, Skutustadgigar, Dimmuborgir, Kalfaströnd, Namaskard and Krafla.

Day 5 Bus trip Myvatn - Djupivogur. Visit at Dettifoss.

Day 6 Bus trip Djupivogur - Vik. Visit at Jökulsarlon and Skaftafell national park with waterfalls Svartifoss.

Day 7 Bus trip Vik - Reykjavik.

Visit at the folk museum of Skogar. Skogafoss, Seljalandfoss, Gullfoss, Strokkur, Thingvalla.

Day 8 Stay in Reykjavik. Visit at the "Blue lagoon"

Day 9 Domestic flight Reykjavik - Heimaey - Reykjavik. Roundtrip on Heimaey.

Day 10 Flight Reykjavik - Stockholm.
