AMBASSADOR RECORDS (Satchmo´s "own" label)

Founded in 1989 the Ambassador CD series - a must for any serious Louis Armstrong collector and researcher of Armstrong´s music, if you want quality aiming at completeness - begin in 1935 and contain Armstrong´s chronological works including alternative takes and broadcasts (contrary to other labels) until 1949. All records have been pitch controlled and carefully remastered sometimes using light "cedar" technichs, removing clicks, noises and correcting flutter without loss of music quality. Along with the CDs you will find booklets with all known discographical information.
