Christmas at the Jacksons

Will Uncle Michael dress up as Santa?
Will Auntie Jan wear a paper hat?
And will 3T pull any crackers?
Taryll, TJ and Taj reveal their festive family plans....

As part of the Jackson clan, how do you decide where to spend
Chrismas Day?
TAJ: Well, we tend to have a quiet Christmas at home with our dad.
Then all the Jacksons get together for a big celebration at New Year.
We all turn up at our grandma's house and she lays on a big spread.
TJ: Unfortunately, our Uncle Michael won't be there this year
because he'll be in Asia on tour.
TARYLL: We'll definitely ring him on New Year's Day though,
when we're with the family.

Will you be seeing Auntie Janet?
TARYLL: Yeah, there's a good chance she'll come round over for Christmas.
TAJ: We often run into her when we're in LA, but she's recording her new
album so I don't know if she'll have much free time this year.

What about, erm, Auntie LaToya?
TJ: I'm not sure but I certainly hope so. There's more chance of seeing her
this year as now she's living in Las Vegas, which is six hours away whereas
before she was in New York and Paris.
It would be wonderful to spend some time with her again.

Who's going to be cooking on Christmas Day?
TAJ: Well, we don't really follow Christmas traditions,
so we don't have a big turkey like other families.
We just eat junk food. It's the one time when we can really pig out!

As single guys, will you feel at all lonely without a girlfriend this Christmas?
TJ: Yeah. I wouldn't want to say we're lonely but it's not a great situation to be in.
It's a sacrifice not being able to form a proper relationship with someone
and I suppose we feel it more at Christmas time.
TARYLL: Every Christmas we ring up our ex-girlfriends.
They're still very close to our hearts.
It's a good time to talk to all our friends, both girls and boys.

Have you decided what to buy each other yet?
TARYLL: No, because we don't really give each other presents at Christmas, hehe! We figure it all evens itself out.
If TJ buys me a Christmas present, I'll probably give him something similar,
so there's not really a lot of point.
TAJ: We usually give each other presents throughout the year.
I can't understand how people buy a gift and then hang on to it for months until Christmas.
I have to give it there and then.

So what on earth can you buy for Uncle Michael, the man who has everything?
TAJ: With all his success, Uncle Michael just likes the simplest things as presents.
Children and babies are my uncle's inspiration, they keep him going.
He believes that children are the future and so he loves to receive pictures of children.

Would you ever give anyone a 3T CD as a present?
TARYLL: No, I don't think so. But I might give one to Taj or TJ because we
never receive copies of 3T singles from our record company in America.
To hear our songs, we have to go and buy them.
We must be the only band who have to buy their own CDs.
So if our record company is reading this, it would be nice to have some of our own CDs
for Christmas!
