AQUA Appearances

AQUA is currently traveling around the U.S. to do some P.R. for their Album. They're going to be visting Los Angeles along with New York and Chicago. Look out for 'em!

In a recent interview on Swedish TV, Rene and Lene said that they thought the Barbie girl video was "corny" and should not be taken seriously. There were some thoughts about using Lene wearing a blond wig in the video but since it's about AQUA in a Barbie world they decided not to. They've all been involved in music ever since childhood. AQUA prefer to do all their concerts live although most of them often end up being semi-live. (Thanks to Mikael K.)

LATEST RELEASE INFO (U.S.)

A visitor from the US reported that he finally found the album in a record store on TUESDAY SEPT. 9th so the album should be out now for all you fans to buy! Don't forget... you can also buy the album on this site! I'll keep you posted about any further developments.

Aquarium's Release

There has been some confusion as to when AQUARIUM actually hits stores, I heard that for example HMV doesn't have it yet. I've also heard rumors about the release date being September 9th in the US. The members of AQUA recently informed me that the official release date is/was August 19th I'm not sure why the album hasn't hit the stores yet but it should be available REAL soon! If you want to make sure that you get a copy as soon as it comes out then I can suggest ordering one from CdNow, one of the largest online music stores, you'll find a link to the below. You'll also find a couple of samples from the album on the main page -check 'em out!

AQUA's Album is finally coming out in the US! The current album is called "AQUARIUM" and includes hits like Barbie Girl, My oh My, Lollipop (Candyman), Roses are red. In a television interview this morning, the group said that the album is coming out in the U.S. THIS WEEK! (Aug. 19) The label is: Universal Music. I can highly recommend the CD! Aqua's Music has finally made it's way across the Atlantic! Some friends of mine reported hearing "Barbie Girl" in Boston for the first time about 2 weeks ago. The song is supposed to have gained a lot of popularity during these past weeks; it's now one of the most played songs in the radio. It normally takes a lot of time for European Dance music to reach the U.S. The album is supposedly not available in stores... yet! Congrats. to Aqua, I bet they'll be able to cash in a lot of $ if they manage to take the billboard charts by storm!
