Spiritual attack went on during the night, which Grace and Laura and
Benjie experienced. They prayed for protection, Psalm 91 et c, and we were all fine in the morning.
All of us except Genevieve went with Ken's cousin to their church and home outside Kisumu. We introduced
ourselves to the church, Rick shared a word he'd got, and then we went to
an orphanage connected to the church and ministered there with a couple of skits and prayed for the kids. After
hanging out at Ken's place for a bit they took us back into town and we
had lunch at that Italian restaurant again. After that we split into three groups and did prayer walking around town.
At the end, Elin's Michèle's and Rick's group started talking to people on the
street and praying for them, and these kids gathered on that corner and wanted to talk to us. Grace's,
Laura's and Matt's group also came and talked to and prayed for the kids. The kids had bottles of something
that looked like honey that they were sucking on, but none of us except
Rick realised that they were all huffing glue. The little kids. And no one seemed
to care. Back at the meeting point while we were waiting for the taxi, Grace, Laura and Emily sat with them
and talked to them a little, which was good. Quite an experience though. |
On the Monday we went into town early to get our tickets for the bus back to Kampala, then we were off to do some shopping and having lunch before leaving. It turned out though, that our royal, comfortable bus had broken down and so we would have to take another one. It didn't have nine seats free but somehow they made room (here in Africa that never seems to be a problem) and we could go. We got a few seats in the back and those seats, let me tell ya, were the real jump seats! Every bump we went over we'd fly out of our seats. It was kinda fun though. |
