kaduku
thursday, january 20
We arrived in Kigumba, the town nearest to Kaduku, in the afternoon
and checked in at our guest house - "White House Inn". The rooms had names
such as George Washington, Jimmy Carter, John Kennedy and Habraham Lincoln.
The rooms consisted of the beds, and another little room with a hole in the floor and buckets
of water for "flushing" and "showering".
Then we went to Kaduku and the crusade ground and started preparing for the crusade. When we prayed about it a few
things came up - John the Baptist and how he prepared the way for Jesus,
that we should point to God in everything we do, and that we should
expect miracles and healing. We also prayed for Grace whose thumb
was sore, and Laura who didn't feel well.
We did our program, someone did an altar call and we prayed for those, then we prayed for people who were sick.

friday, 21 january
We started off (after breakfast) by meeting and hearing how everybody was doing. Then
we waited on God for a while, and Benjie felt that we should encourage one another with
words from God. So we listened and encouraged each other.
"I was not doing well. I hadn't slept very well and I didn't like the place and felt pretty down in general.
But I was encouraged so much by the words the others gave me and by God himself during the
"refill & worship" so the rest of the day I felt really good. Praise God!" ///Elin
Then we worshipped and received our refill from God!
We went to a church near the village in the morning, where a conference was held. They
(actually Grace from the ConnectAfrica team) spoke about the Holy Spirit
and Sam talked about praying in tongues which raised a few questions in some of our heads (especially Matt's :-)).
Then Matt spoke briefly on prophecy and after that we practised prophesying to the people at the church.
saturday january 22
We went to the place where the ConnectAfrica team was staying, early in the morning, to pray.
However, we missed the time of prayer but instead got to experience an African
meeting! They went on for ages discussing random, not so important things and everybody got to share their
opinions on basically whatever they wanted... oh my goodness. They wanted someone to be the time keeper for the conference and
someone said we needed Swiss time so Michèle got the job. Afther,
I don't know, a looong time, the meeting finally ended and we went back to our guest house before going to the conference.
At the conference, Emily spoke, and some from ConnectAfrica, and we prayed for the people there.
