The band is located in Stockholm, Sweden and have been around since 1997. All the members have been in other constellations through the 90´s. The embryo to what would become Very Ape was when the Stockholm live-disaster-band Nude did their last gig in 1996 at a car exhibition.
A microphone stand was wobbling through the air and made schratches at one of those fancy cars. Economical and social crise. Three of the members, Mattias, Jens and Jin decided to go on and do a more "adultoriented music". That didn´t work out very well, and when Niklas and Jonas joined the group it stood clear that the direction should be the opposite.
   
And that´s the path Very Ape is walking today, A foolish, straight forward simple stupid
rock ´n roll meant for angry children of all ages. Sometimes we´re close to primal experiences or maybe it´s just another pseudo-catharsis. Who knows and who gives a shit.
