My name is
Alexander Benford and I was born in the former
country of Russia. As a small boy I was interested in sports and tried almost
everything imaginable from boxing to marathons. I ran the Olympiad marathon in
1984 in Moscow. As
a young man, I studied to become a teacher of Russian Literature and French in
Moscow University. After having completed my education, I worked as a teacher
there of Russian and Russian
Literature for foreign students, such as Swedes and Americans. One of my extra
teaching duties was managing daily contacts with Moscow embassies, since I was
in charge of cultural activities for foreign students. As a result, I became
skilled at diplomacy, and polished up my English and French. In 1984 I fell in
love with a Swedish woman who was my student. We were married in Moscow and
moved to Sweden in 1986. There
I began from the beginning again as an immigrant, with Swedish as a Foreign
Language (SFL) studies, and a high school equivalency through KOMVUX in Swedish
and French. I then concentrated on building up my own trading company in 1992,
subsequently reformed as Benford Invest Ltd. (”Benford Invest AB”) in 1995,
which is still in business. However, in October of 1996 I became accepted for 3
terms of study of network administration and systems technology at C3L school
and changed my focus to that of a student again. My social
as well as business skill increased as a result of working with embassies and
managing my own company. Additional valuable experience, this time of human
suffering, came to me due to working during 1990-1995 at Karolinska Hospital in
their Emergency Ward. There teamwork and fast, efficient action counted a lot,
since even death was not entirely uncommon.
I somehow became addicted to Internet in1992 and discovered a new (to me) passion for computers. After almost 3 years of technical education with an emphasis on the Windows NT operative system, I still have a passion for computers and plan to work with them for the rest of my life. I am MCSE and trying to take MCSE + Internet |
